PHOTOS: WWE Holiday Tour 2023 at Little Caesars Arena

WWE brought the heat this winter season with their Holiday Tour on December 27 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. While not televised, this house show featured top-tier talent including L.A. Knight, Jimmy Uso, Bianca Belair, Iyo Sky, and more!

KEVIN OWENS (WINNER) VS. SOLO SIKOA

Stunners and spikes flew throughout the opening match of the night with Veteran Kevin Owens and the youngest of the main roster Bloodline, Solo Sikoa. Owens ends up winning out after a test of intense endurance to set the stage for the evening.

GRAYSON WALLER VS. BUTCH OF THE BRAWLING BRUTES (WINNER)

After berating the crowd for a “terrible basketball team” in the form of the Pistons, Grayson Waller gets a taste of his own medicine by going toe to toe with one-half of The Brawling Brutes, Butch. His hard-hitting style paired with his acrobatics ends up cementing his W for the match.

THE STREET PROFITS WITH BOBBY LASHLEY (WINNER) VS. LATINO WORLD ORDER (LWO)

There’s no denying whether heel or face, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits have the crowd behind them. Even changing their theme doesn’t make us dislike them as they still seemingly rock it all the way to the ring with Bobby Lashley in tow. Lashley doesn’t end up getting involved, which was a surprise, as Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde try to hold it down for LWO. The Street Profits still come up on top, which is no surprise, being one of the most current dominant tag teams in WWE.

AJ STYLES, LUKE GALLOWS, KARL ANDERSON OF THE O.C. (WINNER) VS. AUSTIN THEORY, PRETTY DEADLY

The newly super-jacked AJ Styles and The O.C. move as one organism as they take on the makeshift 3-man tag team of Austin Theory and Pretty Deadly. While the long hair and glitter of Pretty Deadly are a spectacle, you can’t beat out the brute force and strong style from The O.C., putting another win on the shelf for the trio.

SHOTZI (WITH BIANCA BELAIR) (WINNER) VS. IYO SKY (CHAMPION) (WITH BAYLEY)

In a match that started off as Shotzi Vs. Champion Iyo Sky, an interference from Iyo’s corner woman, Damage Control’s Bayley, caused chaos in the ring. Then the triumphant sound of Bianca Belair’s music hit. Belair hops on the mic to scold Bayley and Iyo and issues a tag challenge to even the odds, saving Shotzi from a handicapped beatdown. Belair ends up getting the pin, and it’s plain to see why Belair has been a champion many times over the course of her short career. The Detroit audience couldn’t get enough as Bianca took a moment to sign posters and take photos with fans prior to the final match of the night.

LA KNIGHT (WINNER) VS. JIMMY USO: STREET FIGHT

We’d hoped to get a glimpse of LA Knight on this tour run considering the WWE’s ring announcer brought him up a handful of times. In a “Street Fight” setting where Kendo Sticks, Tables, and Chairs are not off limits, the pair in LA Knight and Jimmy Uso took each other to the brink. With the venomous Bloodline tactics in Uso’s back pocket, he sustained most of the offense for a majority of the match, but Knight rallies and gets the win, to the crowd’s delight.

The next televised event will be WWE’s Monday Night RAW, which will take place on January 1, 2024. Details can be found at WWE.com.
