PHOTOS: Microwave, Anthony Green, and Hunny at The Majestic Theatre

Atlanta-hailing rock band Microwave rolled through Detroit at the Majestic Theatre on April 10, bringing along supergroup King, Anthony Green, and Hunny.

HUNNY

We caught Hunny once before at Roudnabout Festival 2024, so it was a treat to catch them again after a few years. They started their set with “Halloween,” “Televised,” and Paintball,” and had everyone ensnared with their energy. 10 tracks total made their set, including some of their fan favorites, “Vowels (And the Importance of Being Me),” “i can see my house from here,” and “JFK.”

ANTHONY GREEN

Anthony Green has served as vocalist and more on multiple bands to this point, so it’s always a joy when we get to see him perform his solo works as well. His unique voice and playing style keep you captivated, while singing songs like “Dear Child (I’ve Been Dying To Reach You),” which is off his 2008 release ‘Avalon,’ and was re-released on the ‘So Long Avalon’ version of the album in 2025. The setlist seemed to change here and there over the course of the tour so far, but the consistent tracks seem to include “Seven Years” and performing one from his Circa Survive catalog, “Get Out.”

MICROWAVE

Microwave hit the stage, kicking off with a celebration of their 10th-anniversary ‘Much Love’ from 2016. Playing in chronological order, they paced through those 10 tracks with fans singing every word at the barricade. They then added some of their greats from the rest of their catalog, including “But Not Often,” “Circling The Drain,” and “keeping up.”
