Youth Fountain kicked off the evening showing us that the Emo genre is alive and well. Setting the stage for what’s in store, they played tracks like “My Mental Health,” “Century” and “Complacent,” and won us over with their signature sound.

We The Kings put on a heck of a set as the “salad before the main course” band. Their set included “Skyway Avenue,” “She Takes Me High,” and “I Feel Alive.” During their new single “Alien,” their videographer filmed the crowd as the band shared that they wanted to put live footage in their video from the tour, so everyone rocked out with extra vigor to help the band create on the fly.
They, of course, played “Check Yes Juliet” at the end of their set, which was lovingly labeled as “Shrek Yes Juliet” on the setlist. Relive the show here:
STORY OF THE YEAR

Story of the Year sounds as great as they did 20 years ago. Coming through town to celebrate that milestone with their breakout album ‘Page Avenue,’ the band amassed a packed crowd, many of whom donned beanies from their merch table embroidered with “E M O” on it.
They ferociously laid down the songs “And The Hero Will Drown,” “Dive Right In,” “Divide and Conquer,” and a fan favorite of “Anthem Of Our Dying Day,” which the crowd sang along to at full volume. They slipped some of their later tracks into the setlist, including “War” and “Real Life” as well as the title track from the album ‘Tear Me To Pieces’ before the encore zone began.
To round out their set, right before the finale of “Until The Day I Die,” the band pulled out an “Emo medley” of sorts featuring Yellowcard’s “Ocean Avenue,” Taking Back Sunday “Cute Without the ‘E’ (Cut From the Team),” My Chemical Romance “I’m Not Okay (I Promise),” and The Used “The Taste of Ink.”
This will be a set that When We Were Young fans won’t want to miss, as the band will be bringing their ‘Page Avenue’ set to Las Vegas.
