PHOTOS: Ice Nine Kills at Upheaval Festival 2023
Ice Nine Kills is a theatrical body of work, on top of their music. That’s why their stage show at Upheaval Festival 2023 was a sight to behold.
We mean it in the most respectful way possible: Frontman Spencer Charnas has big theatre kid energy. There are skits between and during performances, with all scenes illuding to different horror movies or tropes. This cements Ice Nine Kills within this subgenre of the Rock Community where Horror themes reign supreme.
Slashing through their biggest tracks including “A Grave Mistake,” “Hip To Be Scared,” and “The Shower Scene,” we’re definitely looking forward to their headlining run with the ‘Kiss of Death‘ tour, and for the Michigan audience, at Ford Field with Metallica.
