MUSIC DISCOVERY: The Lazarus Project Release “Flight”
The Lazarus Project, helmed by former Group Therapy vocalist Ryan Logan, has dropped their newest single “Flight.”
Reuniting with long-time friend and creative partner Brandon McNall (Group Therapy, The Lows, and John Kay & Who’s To Say guitarist) after Logan’s ten-year hiatus from music, The Lazarus Project was born and has been making moves.
The band’s accolades include their instrumental demo “Lullabye” which was used in the independent film ‘If I Can’t Have You…’ and they have released a few covers including “Precious” by Depeche Mode and “Virgin State Of Mind” from K’s Choice. While covers can sometimes make you question the creative span of a band, their fresh takes on these songs hold true to the original nature while still making them unique to The Lazarus Project.
This new track called “Flight” is slated to be on their upcoming album titled ‘Trauma Response,’ and is available for streaming everywhere.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: OUR THOUGHTS
We love the gritty and distorted sound of the guitar on “Flight.” The dark and whispered vocals in the verses are reminiscent of Deftones and Nine Inch Nails in delivery, and would perfectly fit in through the repertoire of those areas of Rock. When the chorus kicks in, you hear influences of 2000’s Emo, but with a harder and added edge. The production value is high grade, with electronics mixed into the percussion, and is an easy add to our playlists!
