Lambrini Girls Turn the Sanctuary Into a Riot

Lambrini Girls hit the stage at The Sanctuary in Hamtramck, Michigan on May 7, and held down the entire room with intensity, wit, and unashamed energy.

Commanding the room, packed to the brim, the band was able to repeatedly split the room and slide into the center, having everyone hanging on their every word, eyes completely focused on them. Thrashing through songs like “Big Dick Energy,” “Company Culture,” and “Bad Apple,” the artistry of Phoebe Lunny (vocals, guitar) and Lilly Macieira (bass) was hard to deny.

The show was completely sold out, and it was clear to see why, with how enthralling their performance was. Moshing and heavy dancing, fans singing along, and of course, waiting to catch more fan favorites, including “Cuntology 101.” Lunny also took a moment to speak to what I can only shortly describe as “the problem with America right now,” as well as speaking up for Gaza between songs.

If you’re able to get a chance in the future to see them live, make sure to cancel all your previous plans, because this will be a show that attendees will remember for years to come as some of the most punk rock shit they’ve seen in a long time.
