Giancarlo Esposito Raves ‘The Mandalorian,’ Possible MCU Appearance
Giancarlo Esposito made an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’ and talked with Jimmy Fallon on his love for ‘The Mandalorian,” as well as his feelings on potentially going to Marvel and taking on a character people are clamoring for him to take on.
After talking about how much he loves the ‘Star Wars’ universe and working with Jon Favreau (including an adorable antidote about meeting Grogu for the first time), Fallon switches gears and brings up his potential to join the MCU.
Esposito notes that he’s been fan-cast as Magneto, as Freeze, and the big ask, Professor Charles Xavier. It’s been an online thing for a minute now, and this is one of the first instances of him acknowledging this as a potential.
He notes that he loves what Marvel does, but he does put it out there that he wants to play “The Good Guy” which would then lead him to a Professor X-type character. Some of the most hardcore fans of the X-Men are not upset about this one bit, as Esposito crushes every role he does.
