21 Savage and Summer Walker Tap in With Usher on “Good Good”

Usher recruits 21 Savage and Summer Walker for his new track called “Good Good.”

The song has sort of a mellow vibe that we’re used to from Usher, and is perfect for Summer Walker, but to put 21 Savage on it is a choice. The song talks about a breakup that might not be completely over emotionally, but being “good” with your ex.

The verses Usher puts in talk about themes like still being in touch with her family, wanting the best for your ex, and how they could have been the right couple but at the wrong time.

Summer Walker applies the same themes in her own verse before harmonizing in the second chorus. I think the song could have probably stood alone with just those two, but enter 21 Savage with his unique flow.

21 Savage puts his own spin on it, saying that he still wants her to be happy, talking about how he’d help pay for her dreams even if he wasn’t her man (and of course, throws in a joking-but-not-really that he’d still lay her down if she wanted).

Truthfully, this track probably would have been better just being a duet, but the addition of 21 Savage will ensure more Rap exposure than if it was just a R&B ballad by Usher.

After a run of dates in France, Usher will return to his ‘My Way’ residency in Las Vegas in October, according to Complex.
