Linkin Park Is Teasing Something on Their Website

Linkin Park is teasing something on their website, utilizing the nostalgia of illegally downloading music and infecting your home computer. Let’s face it, they know who their audience is.

When reviewing the site, it’s uncertain what’s happening beyond a countdown clock to strike on February 1:

@linkinpark @mshinoda what are you teasing?! #linkinpark #hybridtheory #mikeshinoda #chesterbennington

Upon further digging, a very special anniversary is coming up: The 20-year anniversary of the release of ‘Meteora,’ which was released on March 25, 2003. Someone fetch me the aspirin.

There have already been comments saying “I hope LP isn’t releasing new music,” and it’s honestly safe to say that I don’t think Mike Shinoda would do that. Despite the rest of the band still being around, the loss of Chester Bennington was huge, and nobody can truly replace that voice.

There might be a special re-release, remaster, or maybe a vinyl, who knows? But until that countdown clock runs out, we’re just speculating while tending to our millennial back pain.
