Ticketmaster Issues Refunds for Pine Knob’s Offspring Concert
Mixed emotions are hitting the internet as Ticketmaster has begun to email show patrons about issuing refunds for the July 27 date at Pine Knob Music Theatre for The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World, and New Found Glory.
On the date of the show, the power was lost to the stage. At one point, New Found Glory’s equipment was rolled off and replaced with Jimmy Eat World’s instruments, showing the intention that the issue was being worked on and was hoping to be resolved in time for The Offspring to take the stage.
Unfortunately, no such luck. Pine Knob issued a statement on social media saying, “Pine Knob Guests, due to the power outage in the area this evening, we have had to postpone this evening’s performance of The Offspring. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience. New date and ticket information will be shared as soon as possible.”
As of August 5, fans began receiving emails on their refund status, noting the tour has opted to cancel the date rather than reschedule.
Fans of the bands receiving these emails have mixed emotions about the whole ordeal, including some fans posting screenshots of their Ticketmaster e-mails and sharing that they now have merch for a show that didn’t happen, while other fans are just disappointed that a show with this much of a stacked lineup couldn’t be rescheduled.
Some screenshots of Ticketmaster emails included the time frame of 14-21 days to issue a refund, and that the refund will come back to your original payment method.
