Peaceful Protest Planned Outside of West Bloomfield Tesla Dealer
West Bloomfield’s Tesla dealer will see some faces on Thursday afternoon as a sidewalk-only protest will be taking place on February 27th.
The protest is a grassroots organized protest, and given that it is on public property, the organizer noted that attendees will need to be “non-violent,” “non-confrontational,” and need to make sure that they are not blocking traffic or impeding pedestrians passing by.
Tesla has left a nasty taste in people’s mouths with it’s association with Elon Musk, and in many states, cybertrucks have already been vandalized, as well as being labeled by many as “swasticars,” which is apparently upsetting their creator.
While there are some people who believe that the only way that we can get things done is to have violent protests, we hope to see “non-violent” protests become more available in the Metro Detroit area as we move closer to Spring. With this week’s warmer weather, this is opening up more opportunity for community with like-minded individuals.
