Ken Casey Hits Pause on Dropkick Murphys Show to Dunk on MAGA
As the kids say, Ken Casey is, and will always be, that bitch. We mean that lovingly.
The Dropkick Murphys frontman been going viral the last few days for calling out a MAGA Supporter in the audience, and now he’s done it again, at quite possibly when the Dropkick Murphys are at their most powerful: St. Patrick’s Day season.
Recorded by TikTok User @prettyinpunk1 and redistributed by Stereogum, Casey goes full throttle into the “fan” holding up his white version of the “Make America Great Again” hat. He notes his interpretation of the three editions of the hat: “pure Chinese f**king red that they all wear and I think it’s dyein’ their brains,” “the black on black Elon Musk: True Nazi Edition” and then references the version the fan is wearing “My man here is gettin’ ready for summer with a nice f**kin white-white one.”
He then poses to the crowd “If you’re in a room full of people, and you wanna know who’s in a cult, how do you know who’s in a cult? They’ve been holding up a f**kin hat the whole night to represent a president!”
Casey then said what the majority of us have been thinking: “This is America, THERE’S NO KINGS HERE!”
He then slows down his heat by introducing the next song, saying “Do you mind, sir? We’re gonna play a song about our grandparents, and people who like fought nazis in the war and shit, y’know, so if you could shut the fuck up for five minutes…”
Meanwhile, many of us have been questioning how anyone could become a Dropkick Murphys fan yet be a Trump Supporter, but hey, there was that one time that they thought Rage Against The Machine was for them too.
