Bayside Makes St. Andrew’s Hall Feel ‘Just Like Home’
Bayside brought 20+ years worth of music and their legacy to the legendary St. Andrew’s Hall on March 3, 2023. Before hitting the stage, there was audio played from fans talking about their experiences and love of Bayside, and how their music makes them feel ‘Just Like Home.’
With a band like Bayside, there’s so much that could potentially make a setlist. And after years of recording and performing, some bands phone it in or sound like they are falling apart, but this is not one of those bands. The Queens-based band recently announced ‘The Blue EP,’ which is set to be released digitally on March 17th and on limited edition vinyl on April 21st via Hopeless Records.
Sounding just as brilliant as they were many years ago on Warped Tour, fans were elated to get a well-balanced spread of songs across their entire catalog. Patrons young and old were crowd surfing to the hard songs, and swaying gingerly to the slow songs. During the latter half of the setlist, fans lifted their phones high to illuminate the room.
They added their most recent release, a song called “How To Ruin Everything (Patience)” which was recorded with Ice Nine Kills to the setlist, but you could tell who’s been a die-hard fan since day one when tracks like “Masterpiece,” “Blame It On Bad Luck,” and “Devotion and Desire” were showcased.
